The First One
It's been over a year since I last did a regular webcomic, but it doesn't really feel like that. I have to admit, it feels great to be back in the saddle, and a special thanks goes out to Jerry Stephens for once again building my comic's site and hosting it.

Pixel is not a gaming comic, just to let you know. When I started it back in high school and created all these characters, it was just another Penny Arcade knockoff. Over time, I changed the concepts, made the characters deeper, and got far away from those gaming roots. However, I chose to keep the title for a number of reasons: the comic is digital, so the title still works in a sense; another name wouldn't have felt right, as I'd been working on Pixel as Pixel for almost ten years; and I didn't want another name.

I want to accomplish several things with Pixel. One, I want to create a great comic that people can enjoy. Two, I chose the four panel format because it presents a unique challenge; a certain prominent and notorious webcomic "creator" basically ruined this particular four panel layout and made readers wary of other comics using this format - I want to overcome that with good storytelling and a different approach to the format. Finally, this comic really is a part of me, and I want to keep it going as long as I can. It may be limited to a hobby as work takes priority, but I'm not going to quit on this one. Not this time. Sean's back, baby, and I ain't going nowhere. The links aren't working yet, but give that a couple days.
