This is canon, by the way. Every time I draw the moon now, there will be a significant chunk missing from it. It's not quite as good as when Ben Edlund tormented the moon in The Tick, but I hope you all enjoy this, anyway. It's much better than what I had originally planned, and lets us end this little storyline here.
This was a tough one to draw. I wanted to use a nealry solid black background throughout to make sure the moon "popped" on the page, and since I frame with black gutters, I had to figure out how to properly frame the panel with the little amount of white I did use. I'm happy with it.
Readers - Informal poll! I'm thinking of abadoning the four-panel format I've been using and going with a more traditional comic page layout - the panels would not be shoehorned into any specific format. It would allow for more complicated storytelling and perhaps even some additional jokes, but I've gotten pretty good at working with the four-panel format. Tell me what you think in the comments!
